Join the Baylor Health Sciences Library in celebrating the following events this October:

  • Dental Hygiene: October is National Dental Hygiene Month. Find out more about oral health at the NIH National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research page on Oral Health. Hygienists, take advantage of the ADHA’s month of free CE webinars. Check out some of the library’s online publications on dental hygiene. And do your hygienist a favor, floss after brushing!

  • Medical Librarians: It’s Medical Librarian Month. Why are medical librarians arguably some of the best people in the world? Ask our friends and families, or check out the MLA’s page on the pitfalls of health misinformation. Come by the library every Thursday this month to join us for treats and shower us with appreciation. Peruse the library’s small collection of online books on the most important topic ever.

  • Hispanic Heritage: Don’t forget, National Hispanic Heritage month runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. It’s not too late to visit the Library of Congress’ hispanicheritagemonth.gov website for resources and event calendars, and browse the library’s selection of online works by and about Hispanic personalities.
