The Baylor Health Sciences Library has recently noticed that some websites will not display properly in Internet Explorer 11. The issue is usually associated with the browser’s compatibility view option. (BSWH patrons using hospital issued computers are more likely to encounter this problem as IE 11 with Compatibility View on are default options provided by BIS.)
Patrons can either user another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc.) or turn Compatibility View off in IE 11:

- After opening Internet Explorer 11, click on the gear icon in the upper right hand corner.
- Select Compatibility View settings in the pull-down menu.
- In the popup window that opens, uncheck the box beside “Display intranet sites in Compatibility View.”
- Click the Close button.
